Innovative Breakthrough: AI System for Bio Contamination Defects Detection in Art
December 2023 marks a significant milestone for our organization as we unveil a cutting-edge development in the realm of art preservation and restoration. Building upon our extensive art database, which now spans across all Italian regions with more than 80,000 entries, we proudly announce the integration of an advanced AI system.
Our AI system is specifically designed to recognize and address bio contamination defects within artworks. Detected defects spans across bio-contaminations like Alga, Lichen, Mould, Moss, Plant.
By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, our system brings a revolutionary approach to preserving the integrity of artistic masterpieces. The integration of this technology allows us to detect subtle signs of bio contamination that may compromise the longevity and beauty of these cultural treasures.
This groundbreaking initiative underscores our commitment to not only expand the scope of our database but also to contribute significantly to the field of art conservation. As we continue to push the boundaries of technological innovation, we are dedicated to safeguarding the rich cultural heritage encapsulated in monuments, buildings, and historical places throughout Italy and beyond.
Example of detection in art contaminated mainly by alga defect.
NOTE: In the next months, our state-of-the-art AI system for detecting bio contamination defects in art will be made available for trial as an online Software as a Service
Our database of arts, which includes monuments, buildings, and historical places, has expanded to cover all Italian regions. We now have more than 80,000 arts in our collection.
